A short presentation on how death and the dead were handled on and off the battlefield during the Civil War
The Battle of Rivers Bridge State Historic Site will present "What do you do with dead soldiers", a look at military and civilian burial practices during the Civil War. It is a 30-45 minute discussion on what was done with the dead after battles, particularly here at Rivers Bridge, and how those burials were different than the ones at home. This program is FREE and is held in the Community Building.
Due to the imagery and subject, this presentation is recommended for mature viewers.
