Event Details:
FREE tour, bandana, day bag, and lunch for every volunteer! Any participating Boy/Girl Scout groups camping at Barnwell State Park will be eligible for the Scout Carolina Patch!
Meet at the Park Office at 10am to sign in, once everyone has arrived, we will drive over to the battlefield for a quick guided tour of the fortifications. Afterwards, we will get to work staining the Battlefield Parking Lot fence, removing downed limbs, and cleaning waysides. At 1pm, we will break for lunch which is provided for free and consists of fire roasted hotdogs, chips, and bottled water. After Lunch we'll either call it a day or carry on, depending on the amount of remaining supplies and the enthusiasm of our intrepid volunteers!
Be sure to wear clothing and fully enclosed shoes that can get stained, although lunch is provided, you may wish to bring your own. In case of inclement weather, Park Day will be moved to Sunday May 9th.
What to Bring:
Water, old clothing, fully enclosed footwear.
