Battle of Rivers Bridge

Event Details:

This presentation will feature live music by Ranger Brandon!

During the American Civil War music was much more than entertainment. It was a powerful expression of patriotism, protest, grief, unity, and hope. Soldiers carried tunes into battle and sang them around the campfire. Civilians heard these same songs at rallies, in parlors, and at church services.

In this live musical performance we explore the most iconic and meaningful music of the era from both Union and Confederate sides and from the battlefield to the home front. Each song includes a brief historical introduction to bring the lyrics to life and connect the music to the people who sang it.

The program takes place in our air-conditioned community building and chairs are set up for you. General admission tickets are only $10 and advanced registration is required. Make your reservation by clicking on the "Book Now" button.
