Let’s get into the weeds of historical gardening! Explore the growth, adaptivity, and ingenuity of enslaved peoples and their gardens. Enjoy a 30-minute presentation in the Mansion Hall by our guest speaker, South Carolina Master Gardener, Kathy Hutcheson, from the Aiken Master Gardeners followed by a 30-minute tour of the African American Heritage Garden maintained and curated by the Aiken Master Gardeners. Depart with a takeaway sachet of herbs harvested from the garden itself.
