Event Details:
Join us for Hooked!, a fun hands-on fishing program designed for young anglers ages 9–15. Participants will learn fishing basics including how to use a rod and reel, practice safe casting techniques, tie fishing knots, identify common fish found at Paris Mountain, and explore fish habitats and behavior. Participants will also get the chance to practice casting and spend time fishing at the lake!
Fishing rods, bait, and all fishing supplies will be provided.
Details:
Ages 9–15 only
Location: Picnic Flats
Limited to 8 participants
One adult may attend free with each registered child
Adults may not fish unless they have a valid fishing license
Some casting practice will be done without hooks for safety
Younger siblings may not participate, but families may use the nearby playground with another parent or guardian during the program
Come make memories, learn new skills, and see what you can catch at Paris Mountain State Park!
What to Bring:
Bug spray, Sunscreen, Closed-toe shoes, A hat
