Historic Building Tour

Two historic buildings are located on the grounds of Oconee Station State Historic Site. The oldest is a stone blockhouse that was built in 1792. It is all that remains of a military outpost that was built during a period of tension between white settlers and the Cherokee. The brick house at Oconee Station was built in 1805 and served as the residence of a merchant who ran a trading post on the site. Come for a ranger-led tour of the buildings while learning about the history of the site.

Cost: $5 per participant; 5 and under free

Registration closes at 5pm the day before the program. Register online by clicking the "Book Now" button. Call the park office if you have any problems registering.
