Who Is Home
Enjoy a relaxing half-mile walk around the park alongside one of our friendly volunteers and become a citizen scientist for the day! As we stroll, we’ll stop to check our bird houses and observe the fascinating nesting process. With a little luck, we may see carefully built nests, freshly laid eggs, hatchlings and growing chicks. We’re hoping to observe carolina chickadees, carolina wrens, or eastern bluebirds
This walk is perfect for nature lovers from 10 to 110 and offers a unique opportunity to connect with local wildlife while contributing to real observations of nesting birds. Come explore, learn, and discover what’s happening inside our bird houses!
For your safety, wear closed toe shoes. Children 10 to 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Since we may be walking a different route each week, it is critically important to arrive 5 minutes early to check in.
