Make Your Own 18th Century Style Pocket
Have you ever wondered why Lucy Locket lost her pocket? Because unlike modern pockets that are made into garments, Lucy wore her pocket tied around her waist. Learn how to make your own hand-sewn lady’s 18th century style pocket. Participants will be using historically accurate materials and sewing techniques. You will need to have some basic hand sewing skills to participate in this workshop, but you don’t have to be an expert. You will be provided with all of the materials needed to complete the pocket. However, feel free to bring your own fabric or sewing supplies.
Please bring a lunch and beverages. The Meeting House has a refrigerator and microwave.
