Create family memories on Fridays in June at 10 am! Join a ranger on a hike to Mountain Creek, searching for animals and their homes. Wade into the creek and search for dragonfly nymphs, salamanders, and other animals that call Paris Mountain home. We will bring our finds to the park lab to look at under a microscope (the animals will be returned home to the creek afterward). Participants are encouraged to bring their own water shoes, though a limited number of water shoes are available to borrow. The total distance adds up to about a mile roundtrip, as we walk to the creek, stay awhile, and walk back.
Limit 25 people. Registration required. All ages welcome! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is $5 per person (pay online here to book your spot), PLUS park admission, paid at the admission booth (if you have an All Parks Passport, you only pay the program cost now, and nothing at the admission booth). Payments are nonrefundable. Park admission is $3.50 for ages 6 - 15, $6 for ages 16 - 64, and $3.75 for ages 65+. Children under age 6 do not pay admission.
