Event Details:
Join Ranger Madison on May 24th at 9am to 11am for a one-mile hike (Mountain Creek Trail) and a creek adventure as we explore the vibrant world of water-dwelling creatures!
We’ll follow the creek and pond edges in search of frogs, fish, aquatic insects, and even tiny critters hiding under rocks. Along the way, we’ll discover how these amazing animals are adapted to life in or near water. After our hike, we’ll take a closer look at some of these creatures using real microscopes, learning what makes them so special in this hands-on nature adventure.
Be sure to bring shoes that can get wet (or borrow some from the park), as we’ll be getting into the creek during our exploration.
Meet at the Picnic Flats Parking Lot (first parking lot on the left)
All ages welcome (Children must be accompanied by an adult)
Limit: 25 participants
Cost: $5 per person (pay/sign up online to reserve your spot) + park admission
Park Admission (paid at the gate):
Ages 16–64: $6
Ages 6–15: $3.50
Ages 65+: $3.75
Ages 5 and under: Free
(If you have an All Parks Passport, just pay the program fee—no gate charge!)
Come prepared to get curious in the creek, and have fun discovering the hidden wildlife of Paris Mountain!
