Ranger-led tour of the Beech Island cemetery, exploring the people buried there and what their gravestones can tell us.

Experience a unique ranger-led tour of the historic Beech Island Cemetery where SC Governor James Henry Hammond and many of his descendants are buried. Explore the lives, deaths and burials of notable Beech Island residents, as well as the meaning of various gravestone designs and symbols.
Tour will last approximately 45 minutes.
Online registration required. Directions will be sent out to registrants. The cemetery is not open to the public outside of tours and programs.
$15 per person. Recommended for ages 13+. Bring water, wear bug spray, and dress for the weather!
