You can view all available nights, up to 12 months ahead, of any campsite that is showing unavailable for your selected dates. Unavailable campsites are shown on the map as gray icons.

Show Available Dates

The description window of any unavailable campsite includes a large green button with "Show Available Dates". Use this button to reveal an interactive calendar that shows every available date for that campsite — allowing you to easily change your dates so you can reserve that favorite campsite.

This will also reset your selected dates so that you can select more than one campsite for the same dates.

Don't Move Firewood!

Many invasive forest pests can hitch rides on firewood logs. Neighboring states have areas under quarantine for pests including Asian Long-horned Beetle, Emerald Ash Borer, and others. It is illegal to move any regulated items (i.e. firewood) from quarantined zones. For more information, visit www.dontmovefirewood.org.

SC Forest Health authorities advise firewood should be obtained and used locally to prevent spreading pests in the state. Because of the seriousness of a potential infestation, all firewood brought into South Carolina State Parks must be from within the state & from less than 50 miles away.

Campground Policies

Nightly campsite rates are based on location, season and site amenities. Rates are subject to state and local taxes, and are subject to change. Reservations may be made up to 13 months in advance. Reservations requested less than one day in advance of check-in must be made directly through the park.

Please note that check-in time for camping is 2:00 p.m. Check-out time is 12:00 p.m.

Please contact the park office in advance for late arrival instructions.

All vehicles entering the park must display a valid pass.

Visitors not registered for an overnight stay are required to pay the park admission. Roadside parking is prohibited. Parking on unoccupied campsites is prohibited.

• Campsites accommodate a maximum of 6 persons. Exceptions may be made for single families larger than 6.
• Minimum age for reserving a site is 18 and the adult must occupy the site.
• Campers are allowed either a maximum of one trailer/RV and one tent OR two tents per site. Maximum of 2 passenger vehicles per site.
• Minimum length of stay is 2 nights. Some parks have longer minimum stay requirements during peak season and holidays. Primitive, single trailside (backpacking) sites have a 1 night minimum.
• Maximum length of stay is 14 nights per site. Maximum cumulative (total) stay varies by park, but does not exceed 42 out of 49 days. Campers must leave the park for 7 days after reaching the maximum cumulative (total) stay. Example: outside peak season, stay for 14 nights, switch sites for another 14 nights, leave for 7 nights, return for 14 nights before vacating (42 out of 49 nights).
• Maximum stay policy applies both to camping units and to site occupants.
• Registered campers must contact park staff before changing sites.
• All fires must be confined to designated grills or areas.
• Customers requesting an ADA (accessible) site are directed to contact the park directly.
• Pets are allowed in camping areas. All pets must be on a leash no greater than 6 feet or crated at all times. They cannot be left unattended in a vehicle or on the campsite.
• Golf Carts must display a valid permit at all times and must be driven by a licensed driver.

Cancellation and Transfer Policies

Please review the following cancellation and transfer policies prior to your stay.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made 60+ days in advance of the arrival date will incur no charges.
• Cancellations made 15-59 days in advance will incur a $10.00 administration charge per unit.
• Cancellations made 4-14 days in advance will incur an administration charge per unit equal to the cost of the 1st night's stay.
• Cancellations made 3 days or less in advance will forfeit all funds, no refund.
• No-show reservations forfeit all funds, no refund.

Reservation name changes are not permitted. Reservations must be canceled and rebooked in the name of the new reservation holder.

Transfer Policy

A transfer is defined as changing the entire dates of a reservation.

• Transfers made 7+ days in advance of the arrival date will incur no charges.
• Transfers made 6 days or less in advance will incur a $10.00 administration charge per unit.
• No-show reservations forfeit all funds, no refund.

To ensure fairness in reserving campsites, reservations cannot be transferred or changed more than 12 months in advance of the arrival date.

Reservations are for a specific park and cannot be transferred from one park to another.

Promotional discounts cannot be transferred at the discounted rate.

Transfers cannot be made online. Please contact our Reservations Desk at 866-345-7275 or call the park directly.

To cancel or transfer a reservation over the phone, the caller must be able to provide the reservation number or the name and phone number on the reservation.

Discount Policy

South Carolina resident seniors 65+, South Carolina residents who are 100% disabled, and current members of the South Carolina National Guard qualify for certain rate reductions, including discounted camping rates.

• Eligibility is subject to verification by park personnel. Failure to provide valid documentation may result in loss of discount and require additional payment.
• To receive discount, the eligible person must book and personally occupy the site for the duration of the stay.
• Discount cannot be combined with a promotional offer or discount code.

Select Available Nights

To select nights for your camping reservation, click on an active check-in date for the desired campsite. Then select the last night of your stay. Your reservation will be highlighted and your check-out date is indicated on the next date.

Use the Calendar or links to change the date range of the list.

Select Multiple Campsites

Using this view, you can select more than one campsite, as well as multiple check-in and check-out dates, on the same reservation. This allows you to assemble a longer reservation from more than one campsite - helpful during the busy season. You can also reserve multiple sites for your group to accommodate varying arrivals or departures.

Consecutive Nights Required

You may select any number of campsites and dates as long as your reservation is no longer than 14 nights and all dates are consecutive or overlap.

Reserving campsites with separate date ranges, such as over two different weekends with unreserved dates in between, requires making separate reservations. You can complete one reservation and use the Make Another Reservation button in the confirmation stage to easily make additional reservations.

Rates & Descriptions

The nightly rate for each campsite is displayed by date and individual site. Note that rates are subject to change based on availability and season.

The quoted rate for each night does not include taxes or the reservation fee.
