Rooftop Solar Eclipse Viewing at Redcliffe Plantation State Historic Site

Join rangers on the rooftop of Redcliffe’s historic mansion to view the solar eclipse on Monday, April 8! We will gather at the Visitor Center at 2:15pm before heading to the mansion’s rooftop for the peak time to see the eclipse. Rangers will discuss the history of the site and celestial observations of the 19th century. After viewing, we will offer a tour of the mansion on the first and second floor.

Please be aware that the path to the rooftop is uphill then up four flights of difficult and steep stairs. We do not have any climate control in our spaces. Bring sun protection and water, dress for the weather, and wear good walking shoes. Viewing glasses provided by park.

Very limited space! $15/person. This program is weather dependent.
